PITT-BRADFORD TO HOLD INFORMATION SESSION FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN SCHOOL NURSE CERTIFICATION

Registered nurses interested in enrolling this spring in the school nurse certification program at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford are invited to attend an information session on campus on Friday, Nov. 11, to learn more about the program.
The session will be held at 11 a.m. Those attending are asked to meet in the Office of Admissions located on the first floor of Hanley Library.
The school nurse certification program is designed to prepare nurses to meet the health needs of children of all ages in a school setting. The program, which is offered every other year at Pitt-Bradford and is a 12-credit program, will begin in Spring 2012. Nurses who successfully complete the program are eligible to apply for the School Nurse Certificate, which is issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
School nurses in Pennsylvania are required to have the school nurse certification along with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree.
For more information or to register for the session, contact the Office of Admissions at 814-362-7555.
